Seaside Publications is a small, family-centered brand founded by Henrique Meyer, a software engineer and technology consultant in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Originally from Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil, and raised in South Florida, Henrique is a dad who loves spending time with his children, barbecuing, fishing, and traveling. In 2024, he turned his bedtime stories and family playtime ideas into published creations, launching Seaside Publications as a home for the books and games he made especially for his kids—and now for families everywhere.

We create and sell fun, engaging children's books and family-friendly card games designed to spark joy, learning, and connection.

Our current titles include:

• B is for Barbecue: A Flavorful Safari Through the Alphabet — A vibrant, whimsical ABC book that pairs letters with barbecue adventures and mouthwatering meats, perfect for little foodies and future grill masters.
• The Three Little Piggies and The Big Bad Wolf's Wonderful Luau — A humorous, twisted take on the classic Three Little Pigs tale, where the Big Bad Wolf hosts an epic luau.
• Big Bad Wolf's Luau Rummy — A simplified, tropical-themed card game inspired by family rummy traditions, made easy enough for young kids to learn in minutes while keeping strategic depth for adults.

It started at home: bedtime stories that made my kids laugh (like turning the Big Bad Wolf into a luau host instead of a villain) and card games I wanted to share with them. 

Traditional games like Canastra were too complex for little ones, and many kids' games felt too luck-based and boring for grown-ups. So I created Luau Rummy—a quick, balanced version that my five-year-old could grasp right away, while still offering real strategy and replay value for the whole family.

The books grew from the same place: fun, imaginative ways to teach letters or reimagine classic tales in a lighthearted way. Seaside Publications exists to bring these personal family moments to other parents and kids—to create shared laughs, learning opportunities, and quality time around the table or at bedtime.
